Chandigarh:
The Enforcement Directorate on Thursday raided a number of premises linked to Punjab AAP MLA Jaswant Singh Gajjan Majra, sources stated.
Gajjan Majra is a legislator from the Amargarh meeting constituency.
The ED sleuths, who had been accompanied by paramilitary safety forces, raided his cattle-feed manufacturing facility, residence, college and resort in Dhuri of Sangrur.
However, it’s but not clear during which connection the raids had been performed.
Gajjan Majra couldn’t be instantly contacted.
Meanwhile, Aam Aadmi Party chief spokesperson Malvinder Singh Kang referred to as the raids a “political vendetta”.
“The BJP is targeting AAP leaders through central agencies in the wake of upcoming elections in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh. It is sheer political vendetta,” stated Mr Kang.
In May, the CBI had raided the properties of Gajjan Majra in reference to a financial institution fraud amounting to Rs 40 crore.
